Terms

The terms, stated plainly.

How licensing, use and data ownership work, described in the same language we use in the licensing conversation — with the binding agreement confirmed in writing.

  • Licence by written scope
  • Your deployment, your data
  • Binding terms confirmed in writing

Approval status

Not legally reviewed — owner and legal sign-off required before production.

This page has not been legally reviewed or approved.

It is a plain-language summary of how Fox Pro Accounting is licensed and used, written to match the application as built. It is not the licence agreement, it creates no binding obligation on its own, no lawyer has reviewed it, and it must not be presented as approved terms. A jurisdiction-specific agreement, professionally reviewed, has to replace it before this site is used commercially.

Decision required before cutover: approve this summary as it stands, or supply professionally reviewed replacement text. Until that decision is recorded in the certification document, this page is described nowhere as legally approved. It is published on the staging build only — nothing has been deployed.

Terms

Licensing and use, in plain language.

The licence

Fox Pro Accounting is licensed, not sold. A licence is issued by written agreement and activated against a specific installation, and it remains valid for the period confirmed in that agreement.

The scope — the audience it covers, the number of users and companies, and the modules included — is the scope confirmed in writing. Nothing on this website is an offer, a price or a commitment to supply.

  • Issued by written agreement
  • Activated against a specific installation
  • Scope and period as confirmed in writing

What you may do

You may use the licensed application for the business or personal accounting purposes covered by your scope, and give access to the users included in it.

You may not copy the licence onto an installation that was not activated for it, remove licensing or attribution notices, or resell, sublicense or provide the application as a service to third parties unless your written agreement allows it.

Your data

Your financial data belongs to you and lives in the database of your deployment. Licensing events — activation, expiry, renewal — do not change that.

We will not use your financial data for our own purposes. Arrangements for retention, export and decommissioning at the end of an engagement are confirmed in writing before you commit.

Availability and support

No service level, uptime guarantee, response time or support tier is published on this website, because none has been defined yet. If you need a service-level commitment it has to be agreed in writing, and we will say plainly if we are not in a position to give one.

Deployment arrangements — hosting, database location, backup responsibility — are agreed as part of onboarding, so responsibility for each part is explicit rather than assumed.

Status of this page

This page is a plain-language summary written to match how the product is licensed today. It is not itself the licence agreement and does not create binding obligations on its own.

A jurisdiction-specific agreement, professionally reviewed, will be the instrument you sign. Where this summary and that agreement differ, the signed agreement governs, and this page will be kept aligned with it.

Nothing on this page is legal advice or an offer of terms. The signed licence agreement governs your use of the application.
